Snow Days & Vacation= More Crop Time 2

It was almost uncomfortable doing this page, because there were so many pictures of me. But, I like how it turned out! This is only a fraction of what I actually tried on?!
Shoping with the aunties and mother in law for "the dress"

I couldn't fit al the pictures in the first one, so I had to do a second one. Here's the other pages I made.

Snow Days & Vacation = Crop Time!

The sturgeon was too small, but I got a picture with it so I'm happy.
For my 30th B-Day, we went to a Mariner's game and brought a bunch of friends and family.

This was my bacheolorette party the night before the wedding. I don't recommend having it the night before, but because everyone traveled from so far away, we had to.

A small variety of engagment pictures we took out at Hat Rock. I made the collage on www.walmart.com

While we were in Alaska, JD stopped at a gas station and next to it was a pawn store. Behind a beautiful curtain in the pawn store was a very adult section that we took some funny pictures in.

I'm on a roll now...

Sorry it has been so long?! With the new school schedule, master's classes online, and everything else under the sun I have many excuses :)

What's new???
  • JD and I got season tickets for the hockey games since we go so much already (student discount )
  • Working on projects for Christmas time :) (can't reveal by blog incase someone reads this) (email me and I'll let you know if you are not on that list)
  • Planning to go to Florida for Spring Break. JD wants to go to Spring Training (Baseball) and I want to go to Disneyworld, Universal Studios and of course, Seaworld!! Aunt Schelle lives over there and we of course want to visit her as well.
  • JD's coaching boys basketball again this year.
  • We're married...but it doesn't seem any different because we've been together so long anyway (7 years)
  • Working on eating healthier and losing weight, but falling behind. I was actively going to kickboxing classes at the court club, but I've slacked off....
  • AND FOR THE FINALLY.....I've blogged without a picture :)

I finally posted :)

Lately, I've been working on projects for Christmas, but I thought I would try something different. I bought the kit before Daisy Bucket closed, but haven't made it yet. The new store The Paper Bucket was giving the same class so I thought now was my opportunity. I thought it would only take me a couple hours....I started at 10:30 and didn't get done until 5:00pm. (at least a 1/2 hour was just picking out paper.

Finally feeling like I'm going to live

Got back after 13 hours on the plane and airports on Monday and today, Saturday, JD and I feel like we are going to live. We've had nasty jet lag and sinus infections. The wonderful stand up and watch the room spin. But, each day gets better, and we haven't rested all summer. Each day we have done something so it might just be our body saying "Take a damn break!"...so we have we watched movies: (We are Marshall, Deja Vu) and rested.

I'm anxious to post some pictures from our trip!

We had so much fun!!...Despite feeling like crap...I ended up going to a doctor the first day at the resort because I felt like crap. He put me on some medicine ad I felt way better about an hour later.

Blogging from Cancun, Mexico

Wow, I think this will be my first blog without pictures, but I forgot my camera cord.

Things we have done in Mexico that I can blog about...
  • Our room had a honeymoon sign on it with rose petals leading to a bed with towels shaped as swans making a heart shape mouth. Included was a bottle of champagne and a bowl of fruit?!
  • Drank many different kinds of fruity drinks... (bahama mama, mango tango, tequila sunrise, blue hawaiian)... Open for suggestions (Our resort is "All Inclusive" so drinks & food are free!)
  • Visited the Aquarium downtown and swam with the sharks and fed them. You go down in this little glass box with the guide and hold a pole with a fish at the end of it....It was awesome!! JD taped it and I bought the CD with pictures.
  • Went to Senor Frogs (Thanks Amy). They have the funniest signs. JD had one pointing at him that said "Sex Machine" then the waiter came over and put a PIMP hat on him...
  • Swam with the dolphins. The foot push ride and the kiss were my favorite. It was an hour I will never forget.
  • Swam in the Carribean....very salty
  • Drank at the swim up bar! WOOHOO!
  • Bartered the price down for a keychain
  • Blew $5 at the casino
  • Visited the Tequila Museum
  • Watched a Mexican Fiesta Show (Dancers, music, etc) (similar to the hermiston one)

Things We Still Have Left to Do

  • Go to the Chiche Nitzen (Mayan Ruins)
  • Go fishing out on the boat
  • Jungle Tour in Ski boat and go snorkeling out on the coral reef
  • Parasailing (maybe, if time)
  • We're renting a Jeep and going to drive out to other towns to see more Mayan Ruins and possibly the Zoo.
  • Have a fun time and whatever else there is to do. (open for suggestions)

I've noticed, I've blogged when I've had pictures to share??

Well, this is no different. June 26th, we met with my mom and dad and went fishing at White Bluff, near Othello. We had bites all day, but I only caught this one fish. It was too small, but I got a great picture with it.
Tomorrow, we are going fishing again, but probably for trout and bass. Hopefully I'll catch some more :)

Hells Canyon and a Rodeo

JD and I went up to Hells Canyon overnight. We went fishing and went to a rodeo they had while we were there. I caught three bass, 1 catfish, & a trout. JD caught a perch. We saw a lot of wildlife: deer, badger, weasel, hawks, bald eagle, woodpeckers. The rodeo was in Enterprise. It was just bronco and bull riding.

My new camera!!

Canon-PowerShot-SX100-IS-camera-1.jpgSX100IS-metering.gif630a-canon_powershot_sx100is_digicam_2.jpg
After looking around like crazy for a new camera, I finally decided on a Canon Powershot SX100 from BestBuy. I decided I needed a new camera after using a Kodak Easyshare for a the past 3 years and getting some blurry pictures from a distance. It's a good camera and everything, but I need one with a powerful zoom for when I sit in the nosebleed section! :)

Update on life and it's craziness

If I could put a theme song on this blog, it would "School's Out for Summer!" Before school got out, the staff through me a last minute bridal shower. Only a couple people showed, but we had a good time. Friday after work, I went to Cheney, Washington. I usedto work as a special education life skills assistant to see one of my previous students graduate. I have been asked ifI would be going since last graduation?! Afterwards, I dropped JD off at the Spokane Airport (He went to San Francisco to visit a couple friends) and headed to Moses Lake to see my friend and aka Matron of Honor. Her son is also my Godson and cute little ring boy. We had a girls day Saturday and got a pedicure and went and saw Sex and the City. It was a really good movie!!!!

Memorial Day Fishing

Anyone know what kind of trout this is??
My 13" bass I caught out in Boardman at the Marina
My variety pack of fish caught in Heppner
This weekend JD and I had the fishing jones. We went out Friday and Saturday. Friday we went to the Umatilla bridge. That's where I caught the mystery trout fish. Saturday we took a day and drove around to different spots. We tried to go to Tumwater Falls and see the waterfall (I WANT TO SEE ALL THE WATERFALLS OF THE WORLD!). But, I guess you have to access it by boat :(

After two hours in line on Friday...

JD and I got two free tickets after waiting in line for 2 hours and got to see Obama speak on Sunday. I even got to shake his hand after his speech. It was cool to see someone that close to possibly becoming president.

Two aunts and my future mother in law went. We didn't each lunch until after we found that dang dress! But, we treated ourselves to Olive Garden when we were done. YUM!!!

Our wedding cake topper

About a month ago my gradma Barb passed away. JD's dad was looking through her things to find her pager to cancel the service and found this cute wedding cake topper. Margie, her daughter, said she hadn't even have seen it before?! It will be at my wedding just like I know grandma would want to be :)

Relay for Life

For a long time I have wanted to help out with different charities and fundraisers, but with craziness of overscheduling myself like crazy, I haven't. But, now I have :). At our school we are having a fundraiser to kiss a pig. Staff members (me included) have volunteered to kiss a pig (on the face, not the snout I CHECKED!). The staff member that gets the most votes has to kiss a pig at an assembly.

Engagement and a mouse....

The one above will be our newspaper picture.
The picture to the right, I like, but JD doesn't :P
The bottom picture is our invitation picture. The blank are is where the writing is going to go. After 190 pictures, these are the three we like the most.

THE MOUSE: So at school, my sub assistant comes into my room (I have two small classrooms) and shouts, "THE KIDS TOLD ME AND I BELIEVE THEM! THERE'S A MOUSE IN THE CEILING!!" and I look up at the ceiling vent and there it is white belly hanging out and all. I leave the classroom to the assistants, go to the office to get the janitor. I get the walkee talkee and you can imagine the smart a** comments I got. The janitor gets her gloves and a trash bag, climbs up there, and... it turns out it's a piece of insulation?!! I tell my other assistant and she said, "I've been telling the students there hasn't been a mouse up there for days?!" I didn't know anything about it!

A new hair color, a new me...

Colored my hair...again. Too many greys and I didn't want dark roots for the engagement pictures. A little darker than what I wanted with a little brighter highlights. It'll mellow out though, I guess...What do you think?
Took my second class of kickboxing today. Not as sore as last time. This time, I stayed later and sat in the hot tub. So far that really helped, but it's only been a couple hours. That second day seems to always be the hardest :>p. It feels good though to take the class. I'll hopefully get more in shape and lose more weight.

Alaskan Fishing

My fish that I caught....
I caught three of them about this size.
Pete driling the hole for my fish
JD waiting for the bite he never got
We are having so much fun here in Alaska. Unfortunately majority of the places
are just open in the summer. But, we have made the best of it. Wednesday we're going to play around Anchorage. If someone needs a spot on the plane or we get snowed in, there's boxing on Thursday...but probably not :(. Oh, well we are still having fun!

Picture frame for Gradma

A couple weeks before grandma passed away, I started to make this picture frame. Grandma, Margie and I picked up a bunch of beach glass at North Beach. As soon as I saw it, I thought "picture frame." I emailed them because I ran out of glass and they both hinted that they wanted one too. They sent me more glass and grandma died two days after I finished this frame. I dedicate this fram to Grandma Barb and gave it to Margie, her daughter (JD's mom). She loved it and displayed it at the funeral for others to see.

The Ring!

I got the ring. On our way back from the coast, we stopped at Ben Bridge and picked up my ring. We went to the coast for Grandma's funeral. It was so hard but we were glad we were there. I miss her so much. In memory of her, we made her mystery green jello salad and brownies for the reception. We went to her house and looked through pictures. It was probably one of the hardest things I had to scrapbook, but I made a display board for the funeral of beautiful pictures of her.

the ups and downs of the week

There have been many ups and downs this week. The hugest down of this week is my grandma passed away on Friday. After school, JD called ad told me she had just passed away. I am going to miss her like crazy. The funeral is this next weekend. We asked if we needed to come up, I feel like I should be with family now, but they said no. So we are going to head up at end of this week.
Another down is I have been sick all week and JD has it too. We have that nasty cold/sinus infection and being a teacher there are several meetings that you HAVE to be at despite being sick so I wasn't able to take a day off for rest.
The UP for th week is I got to finally meet Ali. JD and I went to Portland on Saturday, since the family didn't want us to come up until next weekend. I went to the scrapbook convention and he went to a baseball game. It was my first time so I was really excited and needed a distraction after the rough week. I took Ali's class "ALI'S TOP 10." and I had her sign my book. It was so cool!
